Mohamed Zidan is an investigative journalist, media coach and trainer with over 16+ years of experience across Egypt and the wider MENA region. A member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), he specializes in cross-border investigations, illicit finance, and data-driven storytelling, and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Ozone Platform, leading editorial strategy on environmental and investigative journalism.

Zidan has contributed to landmark global projects such as the Pandora Papers and Cyprus Confidential with ICIJ and has collaborated with OCCRP to track financial secrecy and transnational corruption. He is also a lecturer at Cairo University.

His expertise spans investigative reporting, verification, multimedia production, and editorial leadership. He has trained journalists through the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the Jordan Media Institute, the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, and multiple Arab universities. His work has been recognized with international awards and short listings.
